Supported input and export details
Bank and credit-card transactions are supported. Investment downloads and unsupported statement structures are rejected.
This export requires an account ID, currency, actual closing balance and date; bank feeds also require a valid numeric institution ID and a routing ID for checking or savings accounts. These values are not guessed, and destination compatibility is not guaranteed.
Set required export details in “Account and export details” before converting. The preview shows up to ten transactions and totals by account and currency. Opening or running balances are not inferred, and previewed transactions cannot be edited here. Download links expire after 24 hours.
Why convert QFX files to QBO
The exporter rebuilds a QBO file from parsed QFX transactions, but requires your valid numeric institution ID, account ID, currency, account type, closing balance and date, plus a routing ID for bank accounts. QuickBooks acceptance and duplicate handling depend on your destination setup.
Enter the institution and account metadata used by your destination.
Balance, date, currency and routing values are checked for required fields.
This does not guarantee duplicate detection in QuickBooks.
Test a small file against your target account before import.
After validation and hashing, the QFX is removed; nothing but the job metadata stays behind.

Converting QFX to QBO in practice
Moving a Quicken download into QuickBooks
QFX and QBO require institution and account metadata for the destination. Provide the valid numeric institution ID, account ID, currency, account type, closing balance and date, and a routing ID for bank accounts. The converter does not guarantee import acceptance or bank-feed matching.
Transactions retain their parsed payee, memo and identifier where supplied. The generated file is a working conversion and does not duplicate a bank-authenticated download.
After converting, check that:
- Institution and account metadata match the target company
- Transaction count and dates match the QFX
- Test import behavior before using the file for bookkeeping
How to convert QFX to QBO in three steps
- 1Upload the QFXAdd the Quicken download that needs to go into QuickBooks.
- 2Enter valid account detailsSupply correct institution, account, currency and closing-balance data.
